The 2008 Baltimore Photo Camp began at Vivian Thomas Academy in Baltimore, Maryland. Students were taken by bus to Crisfield, Maryland, then hopped a ferry across the Chesapeake Bay to the tiny island of Port Isobel, near Tangier Island.
For four days, Chesapeake Bay Foundation educators helped students explore the unique Chesapeake Bay environment, while National Geographic photographers and editors mentored them in photography and writing. The students documented their experiences throughout with photos and writing.
