Rwanda, 1994

"Massacres between Tutsis and Hutus had already started. They were sporadic but massive. Three photographers and I were sent to the region by FNAC and RSF to show the horrors to the West, image by image. These massacres would later be called '100,000 careless dead.' This woman was in a refugee camp."
