Soviet Parade, Leningrad, USSR,

Rows of uniformed soldiers march through the Soviet Union's Palace Square in Leningrad. The fast-paced military review, which was held annually each November 7 and open only to invited guests—diplomats, journalists, officials, workers' representatives, and their familiers—salutes the 1917 Bolshevik upraising that changed the course of history.
