Global warming LIVE

Global warming before our very eyes. We finally made it to the observation on the Upsala glacier, next to El Calafate, Argentina, in the jurisdiction of Los Glaciares National Park. The most terrible thing is the comparison between its preivious condition to the current one – in 1928 a massive icesheet used to cover this area (as seen in the Italin photographer Deagostini's photo), and today what's left of it is a new lake that has been formed, named Lago Guillermo, and much less ice. In the current melting rate of 130 meters a year, the glaciers could be gone in 20 year.
