In the Aboriginal culture prevalent throughout Northwestern Ontario, wolves represent loyalty, cooperation, love and care for the family and community. These themes were present when I returned to my hometown of Thunder Bay in early September. Taking a break from the concrete jungle scenery of Ottawa, Ont. (where I attend university for journalism), I decided to accompany my father on a wilderness trek an hour's drive outside the city. It was during this time of father-son bonding, I came across nature's emulation of the exact same thing.
