The pride of Fuerteventura

These wonderful creatures were fundamental for the development of the island. They recieved a special status and a symbolic meaning due to the fact that almost every part of it can be used, whether it is for food, to create tools, clothing, arms or jewelery. Today they aren't only one of the main sources of meat for the locals but their milk is also used to make the heavenly 'majorero' cheese, which has won multiple prizes.

Location: Near the Caldéron Hondo volcano, Fuerteventura, Canari Islands
