Baboons in a New York City zoo
July 6, 2011
Baboons, Prospect Park Zoo
This Month in Photo of the Day: Animal Pictures
This photo was taken at the Prospect Park Zoo in New York City. The female baboon seated in the corner had a ten-year relationship with the male baboon, named Simon seated, with the child. Simon left the female seated in this photo for two new female baboons and recently had two children by them. One of the children is seated with Simon. The look in the eyes of the rejected female baboon tells the whole story.
