This Month in Photo of the Day: Nature and Environment

Boatmen hired by the Bangladesh Water Development Board gather sand from chars (sand islands) to use as filler where cracks weaken the levee protecting the town of Sirajganj. Heavy flows of the Jamuna River cause the damage.
