A retro motel in Rialto, California, awash in the soft glow of twilight, beckons road-weary travelers. “In the American West many historic places have been forgotten, torn down, erased from memory,” opines photographer Matthew Saville, who submitted this photo. “For those with a taste for nostalgia, however, even in the sprawl of greater Los Angeles there is at least one remaining gem: a throwback to the 1950s and classic Americana, the Wigwam Motel.”
