it is a beautiful photograph in every way. I can't help but feel as though it is something from Tim Burton and the twisted branches are going to come alive to consume the bird. Yes I did take my meds today.
The detail in this photo is superb and beautifully composed. Textures, shapes and burst of colour work together like birdsong.
So lovely. It reminds me of a book I had when I was a little girl called "The Last Robin of Autumn".
I love how fluffed out the bird is - in contrast to the smooth curly branches. Really a beautiful shot!
I wish National Geographic would indicate what camera, what settings, etc. That would be more interesting than just telling us the photographer just "set up and snapped" the photograph. Not very interesting.
