Swans, Slovakia

Photograph by Norbert Nemes, Your Shot

This Month in Photo of the Day: Your Shots

Swans and ducks, Piešťany, Slovakia

What Makes This a Photo of the Day? I love the slightly off-kilter composition here, with the cluster of birds near the bottom of the frame. This gives a sense of movement and allows the eye to take in the peripheral elements—the ripples of the water and the sprinkling of ducks. —Alexa Keefe, Photo of the Day editor

Would it be possible to include some of the metadata for the photos when available?

If you stare at this photo long enough the swans start to look like flower petals that are being scattered. Very nice.

Lovely.  (Hoping it wasn't TOO much photo-shopped.)
