Wedding, Krakow

Photograph by G. Dzhevelieva, National Geographic Your Shot

This Month in Photo of the Day: City Pictures

Kazimierz, the historical Jewish quarter of Krakow, provides a colorful backdrop for an impromptu wedding shoot. "This wonderful place is the Jewish district," Your Shot contributor G. Dzhevelieva says. "It keeps so much paint and history between the streets. Nowadays it's the most interesting art place in Poland."

Check out the bold new look and feel of Your Shot, where you can share photos, take part in assignments, lend your voice to stories, and connect with fellow photographers from around the globe.

In regards to the the bride and groom...things are not always what they seem. Great photo and wonderful color, her red hair, blue shoes.

That is such a charming picture - shows that all one needs is a little bit of love to live happily ever after

This picture was not a good choice due to the compromising position of the subjects.  Unfortunately, my classroom hit the link today as part of their writing assignment before I checked it.  NatGeo is always so wonderful, but this picture is borderline risque to sixth graders.  I personally am not offended, and explained nothing improper was going on, but it's pretty hard to convince a roomful of kids otherwise.

Please consider this in future selections.

@Trina Menzie Check it before you assign sixth graders to look at it. It's on you not NatGeo. Besides, it's not that bad. I saw way worse then this before I was a sixth grader.
