Tomasz Tomaszewski, a freelance photographer, was born in Warsaw, Poland, in 1953. He started his photographic career with Polish magazines and worked with Solidarity Weekly as well as the underground press.
In 1992 Tomaszewski's work received honorable mention in the magazine news category of the Washington Journalism Review (now the American Journalism Review) awards.
His pictures have appeared in international publications including Stern, Paris Match, GEO, Tim
