The famed Jamaican bobsledding team made its debut at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Assembled by two Americans who thought Jamaica's strength in sprinting would translate well in bobsledding, the unlikely Caribbean team also qualified for the 1992 Winter Olympics.
