The NG Photo Camp helped me to broaden my experience in photography. In addition to new photography techniques, I also learned about the Chesapeake Bay and the life of the watermen. I was able to learn the history of Tangier Island through the eyes of the locals, and not just the museums or history books. I was also able to explore the marshes and the wetlands of the Chesapeake. Being able to see baby eaglets was a memorable moment, and the fact that we all had cameras to document what we saw and did helped us to keep the memories in our minds.
