In January 2009, students from rural and urban areas in Rajasthan, a state in northwestern India, came together in Jhadol for a National Geographic Photo Camp presented in partnership with Sanjhi.
Guided by National Geographic contributing photographer Ed Kashi, the students spent four days photographing, writing, and discussing the importance of nature in their lives.
"We experience nature by its beauty," says Photo Camp participant Geeta Amravat, who took this photo. "For example, a mother takes care of her baby throughout its childhood. That's the way nature is taking care of us. We should take care of our nature."
