In September 2012, a group of students hailing from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds and representing the regions of the Federally Administrated Tribal Areas gathered for a six-day workshop in Islamabad, Pakistan. The goal was to give the students the tools and vision to share the stories of their own communities through photography. See examples of their work in this gallery.
Here, a young girl sits near her family at Rawal Lake in Islamabad. The Photo Camp students practiced capturing the subtle interactions of people in leisure situations and worked on developing the photographer’s skill of approaching people in public and photographing them.
